Size: Pandas measure around 1.5 meters (5 ft) long and around 75 centimeters (2 ft 6 in) tall at the shoulder. Males are larger than females and can weigh up to 150 kilograms (330 lb). Females can weigh up to 125 kg (275 pounds).

Lifespan: 25 to 30 years

Habitat: Pandas live in the mountainous regions of Asia such as Sichuan, Gansu and Shaanxi.

Diet: Bamboo

Tai Shan is a giant panda that was born at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, D.C on July 9, 2005. He is the first panda cub born at the National Zoo to survive for more than a few days.
