Miley Ray Cyrus was born in Franklin, Tennessee. She shot to stardom playing Miley Stewart, a normal teen with a double life as a pop star named Hannah Montana. The Disney Channel first aired Hannah Montana in March of 2006 and it quickly exploded into a pop culture phenomenon. The Hannah Montana soundtrack was released in 2006, debuting at #1 on the US Billboard 200. As part of a double CD released in 2007, Miley debuted her first solo album Meet Miley Cyrus. It also debuted at #1, as did Miley's second solo album, Breakout, in 2008. Miley debuted on the big screen in 2008 with the concert movie of her Best of Both Worlds Tour and starring as the voice of Penny in the movie Bolt. In 2009, Miley starred in Hannah Montana: The Movie and released the EP The Time of Our Lives which features the single 'Party in the U.S.A.'.
