David Archuleta

David Archuleta was born in Miami, Florida but later relocated to Murray, Utah. When he was 12 years-old, David won the title of Junior Vocal Champion on the TV show Star Search 2. He auditioned for Season 7 of American Idol in 2007 singing John Mayer's 'Waiting for the World to Change'. David was noticed early on as a major contender and he ended up coming in 2nd place. Three of the songs David performed on the American Idol finale debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in June of 2008. His self-titled album, David Archuleta, was released in November of 2008. His first single, 'Crush', debuted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
