Blues Clues

This was such a pretty color on Hayden Panettiere. The ice blue really made her pretty eyes POP! We loved the sassy length of the dress, too. Satin is one of those very unforgiving fabrics, but with ruching (that bunched up/wrinkled look on Hayden's dress) anyone can pretty much pull it off.

More Star Style

Baby Talk

And the winner for the ugliest outfit of the night was ... Lil' Mama, with an ugly metallic hoodie and pacifier. We don't care if you were trying to play up the whole,"I'm young" look. This was so not cute, even on legitimate babies. Chris Brown is young too, but did you see him show up to the awards show in swaddling clothes? Of course not, because this wasn't a costume party, it was the MTV Video Music Awards!

Greek Tragedy

There is NOTHING wrong with going Grecian. Many people have successfully pulled it off, like Natalie Portman and Jennifer Lopez. However, they were able to pull it off because they chose Grecian-style dresses that flattered their figures, unlike Beyonce and her ill-fitting dress that should have been hanging on a window at a Greek restaurant, not on her. Ugly dress, ugly shoes and ugly hair ... just ugly.

Shia's on Fi-ah!

Shia LaBeouf ditched the logo shirt and jeans and opted for a sleek suit last night, and we weren't complaining. The boy was looking sharp, with the exception of that little 'crustache' he was sporting. Dude, what's the deal? Don't grow a 'stache, unless you've got the follicles to back it up.

Silver Siren

Jennifer Garner looked so perfect on the red carpet that we were close to shedding tears. Baby doll dresses are so in right now (you may have heard us say this one to fifty thousand times before) as well as metallics and as you can see, Jen Garner was wearing both! Double the style props! Everything Jen's wearing was on point, from her perfectly coifed hair to her awesome silver, peep-toe pumps.

Rainy Day

Ugh ... what was this dress made of? Trash bags and duct tape? In addition to what appears to be rain-resistant fabric, the dress shape was just awful on Alicia Keys. She can do so much better! The only good news was, this outfit was MUCH better than the cat suit she wore on stage. Me-Ew!

Missing Something

There is NEVER an appropriate time for a guy to wear a vest without a shirt underneath, no matter how big the guns (aka arms) are, and trust us Adam, yours aren't that big. If we were Adam Levine from Maroon 5, we would have tied that Grandma scarf around our face so no one would have recognized us and we would have bolted to the nearest shirt store.

Oddity

Hmmm. What an odd outfit! Nelly Furtado's top was sort of cute, but the too-short, satin parachute pants with chunky, red, clown shoes were just painful. Maybe she was planning to parachute out of a plane full of clowns whilst at the VMAs? No? Well, we TRIED to justify this outfit.

Too Casual

Did you SEE Chris Brown's performance? He killed! We would have preferred he wear his snazzy performance outfit on the red carpet, because this casual outfit was so blah. We could take a walk in our local mall and see 15 guys wearing this exact outfit. Who are we kidding? We still love you, Chris!

Fantastic in Fuchsia

Yowza! Rihanna looked amazing in this form-fitting, fuchsia gown. We loved the black detailing on the top of the dress and the full skirt. Her skin absolutely glowed and her razored bob is one of the hottest hair cuts in Hollywood. Loves it!
