Underwood's Undertow

We were a little unsure about Carrie Underwood's white dress. The short skirt and pretty white details were perfect. It was the neckline that was a bit distracting, it almost looked like it was choking Ms. Underwood. That being said, it fit her perfectly and flattered her petite frame nicely. We loved the hem of the skirt and her coordinating handbag, and of course the strappy heels sealed the deal!

Blues Bros.

Hmmm! We aren't sure where to start with this one. The Jonas Bros. have a unique sense of style and certainly like to express their individuality, but this was a bit weird. We just can't even focus on the shot enough to come up with a nice thing to say, so we won't say anything at all.
Next Up: Ashley Tisdale

Saucy Siren

Ashley Tisdale opted for evening glamour with her heavily jeweled top and skirt. We liked the shiny details and the outfit fit her very well. We were also happy to see her covered up and not showing tons of skin.
Next Up: Rihanna

Falling Flat

We've been gushing about Rihanna's style as of late, but this time we've run dry on compliments. This outit was just plain odd and we didn't like it on Rihanna at all. The top looked like it was a size too large and the skirt just didn't go with the top.
Next Up: Miley Cyrus

Seeing Red

WOWZA! Miley Cyrus turned it up a notch at the AMAs, and we likey. Her dress was a gorgeous shade of red that fit her incredibly well. The skirt was a bit short, but we didn't feel like she had too much skin hanging out. And her metallic shoes and clutch topped it all off.

Gilded and Glorious

We've seen some candid shots of Vanessa Hudgens recently that made her look anything but stylish. This shot redeems her 100 times over. She looked absolutely amazing at the AMAs. Her short gold dress was perfect on her tiny figure and we loved the strappy sandals.

Don't Call Her Stacy!

Fergie is usually anything but demure. Her fashion choice often put her over the top but for the AMAs she seemed to have matured a bit. Her black dress was short but it showed off her sleek legs and looked great. The neckline was pretty and her shoes were the perfect match.
Next Up: Avril Lavigne

Bronzed Statue

We fear we're wrong for saying this, but we didn't like Avril Lavigne's bronze-colored dress at all. The fit was awkward, the ruching ugly and the bronze color was just UGH-ly! And don't even get us started on her badly chosen, chunky heeled shoes.
Next Up: Alicia Keys

In the Keys

We've complained in the past that Alicia Keys didn't know how to dress for her figure. Well, she must have gotten a clue because this outfit looked excellent on her. The sequins on black were a great choice and the dress fit her perfectly. She must have liked the dress as well, becuase her posture was straight and almost proud!
Next Up: Beyonce

A Bell Curve

The problem with Beyonce's skirt flaring at the bottom is draws attention to her rear. You should never do anything that draws attention to the widest part of your body. That being said we did like the color of the dress against her glowing skin and the delicate scalloped edges on her top.
Next Up: Jennie Garth

Totally Teal

Jennie Garth, of 'Dancing With the Stars' showed up at the AMAs to present an award and proved she was red carpet material. Her beautiful teal dress was a great color choice and we liked the fun fit of the skirt. Dresses like this can hide middles well, not that Jennie needs to hide her toned body. And we didn't mind the color of the shoes, but the actual style of the shoes was bad.

He's Got Moves

Chris Brown can dance his tushie off. Every time he performs at an award show we're mesmerized. But his style instincts need a bit of work. We liked the dark shirt and light tie combo, but the odd vest-looking jacket was just a bad choice. Oh well if he could dress his tushie off, too the world might have been in trouble.
