Sleek and Sassy

Final Grade: A+
We HEART Rihanna's sleek bob so much that we gave it top honors. Her thick, black hair looked chunky and cool in texturized sections that helped to highlight her two platinum streaks. Poor Rihanna had to push her hair out of her face a bit, but the trouble was worth the beauty of it!

Rapunzel, Rapunzel

Final Grade: C
Alicia Keys didn't have Rihanna's hair dilemma. With her hair pulled back in that long braid she certainly didn't have to worry about pushing hair out of her face. This style was a little too juvenile for our tastes though, we much preferred her performance, bushy hair.

Scraggly Simpson

Final Grade: D
We just did not like Ashlee Simpson's loose, wavy curls. They looked scraggly and messy. She must have popped up to support her BF, Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz. We wonder if he liked this disheveled look.

Hawk It Off

Final Grade: A+
Travis Barker showed up in rock-boy fashion and we HEARTED every inch of it. His mohawk looked rockstar chic and we couldn't help but respect him more for keeping it real on the red carpet. If you look closely you can see that his scalp is tattooed, too! OUCH! Don't mess with this bad boy!

Super Girl

Final Grade: B-
Overall we liked the sleek style and color of Hayden Panettiere's hair. We just weren't fans of the length. It was a bit too long and it appeared to be making her face look longer with it. She was simply glowing at the event though and we really can't rob her of that.

Oh NO!

Final Grade: F
What in the world was this hairstyle on Beyonce? We hated it -- everything about it! From the weird pony tail to the goofy curls to the way it flowed against her cheek. YUCK, YUCK, YUCK!

Furtado Falls

Final Grade: C
We gave Nelly Furtado a "C" for her hairstyle, ONLY because when she performed it actually looked cute tucked in a hat. We hated the orangey-color of her highlights and how her hair looked so messy. Worst of all her poor tresses looked damaged and fragile, maybe it's from the color treatment?

Final Grade: F
We're not Paris Hilton's biggest fans, so we won't pretend that we were sad to see this horrid hairstyle on her. We secretly were delighted that she chose to style her hair like a 40-year-old newscaster and with the bad, dark makeup to boot. Coming up at 7 o'clock she'll tell us how not to have a red carpet flop!

No Flatlining Here

Final Grade: A
You can't really see it from the picture, BUT Ludacris has a cool pattern cut in the side of his head. It looked like the readout of an EKG machine, you know like the heartbeat reader. Although this style is very 80s, we HEARTED it on Luda!

Train Wreck

Final Grade: F-
We know there's no such thing as an "F-" but we don't know what else to give Ms. Spears! We were awaiting her show-opening performance with baited breath, and we almost passed out -- from SHOCK! Her performance was as bad as her extensions. We hate to admit it, but we think the end of Britney Spears' career is around the corner and we hope her extensions are headed with her.
