Go From Spring to Summer
Winter and summer are transition seasons, which means you don't necessarily pick up a bunch of new clothes or styles but you find a way to incorporate your cute, spring items for the new season. We'll break these down for you look by look!

Beachy Keen
This look was summer ready almost from the get-go. Ditch that sweatshirt and roll up the shorts a bit if you need and you have the perfect summer outfit! If you know you'll be out after the sun comes down you might want to carry the sweatshirt just in case.

Prepster
Heavy handbags are a no-no for summer. Seriously, who wants to lug around their junk in the hot sun? So swap the big bag for a simple, lightweight one or just use your pockets! Also get rid of one of the polos ... or better yet, wear a cami or tank with those cute Bermuda shorts.

Athletic
The long sleeves on this shirt are the biggest problem with this outfit. So replace the top with a cami or a tank! The shoes and bag are GREAT summer accessories, they're comfortable and lightweight so they won't make you feel hotter.

Metallic
If you don't like shorts, you will be happy that this outfit has jeans. BUT if you prefer shorts in the summer you can easily opt for shorts instead. This outfit also has a couple of layers, so ditch the long sleeve Henley and just wear the cami that's underneath. I hope you're seeing a trend here, eliminate some of your spring layers to summer-fy your outfit!

Feminine Funk
First of all, get rid of those heavy tights ... DUH! Now you have a couple of options, if you don't think it's too bare you can get rid of the striped, button-down shirt and wear the cami solo. If, you would prefer a little more cover, wear a ribbed tank underneath the cami. To keep it funky, rock a bright color like hot pink or electric blue!

60s Mod
There isn't much you can do to this look. Without the leggings the dress is a little short. Black is definitely not a warm weather color, either. Save this one for a night out with the girls or even your BF!

Romantic Hippie
If you get rid of the jeans, this outfit will immediately lighten up. Also ditch some of the jewelry. Summer is all about being light and airy so nothing sticks to you and you don't feel weighed down.

Nautical
You could probably do this one on your own by now! The jacket HAS to go! The bag is actually a great summer bag, perfect for lugging things to the beach or pool. The hat will offer some shade from the sun, so keep that. The capris might run a bit hot, so you can always just put regular, old denim shorts with this outfit ... OR try to find red Bermuda shorts to keep it true to the style.
I don't know about you, but I'm totally ready to take my wardrobe into summer without spending a penny now. Hope this helped!

You Call This Work?
Seriously!
We had SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much fun putting together and doing this photo shoot that we can't believe we were paid for it, don't tell our bosses, though, we don't want them to take back our paychecks! :-D
We can't wait to hear what you think about the pages and the outfits we picked out, so make sure you email us at KOLStyle@aol.com and share your feedback and comments! We'll even post some of them here.
Have you taken a look at the models' blogs? Make sure you mosey on over there and read a little bit more about each model! Like did you know that Rihanna is one model's favorite singer? We're not telling you who, click over to their blogs and find out for yourself.

Bring on the Warm Weather!
Spring is tied with fall as my all-time, favorite season. I love the flowers, the warm weather and of course the clothes, especially this year!
I'm a fan of big jewelry and turquoise, so it's no surprise to tell you that my favorite 'look' from Spring Looks 2007 is Romantic Hippie. I love the humongo bangles and sea shell necklace! And boy do I wish those cuffed jeans came in my size. Too bad my toe probably wouldn't fit into them! *sigh* Here's a behind the scenes picture of Riviera wearing my favorite look (it was her favorite as well).

Light's Out. It's Done ...
Well sort of ...
The photo shoot, itself is over. We still have to deal with publishing the pages, but that's a whole other blog entry! Our models were EXCELLENT, each one brought their A-Game and it will be so evident in the final product. We did things a little differently then we usually do. But all in all I think it worked out PERFECTLY.
Lysssssssa (the lizard lady HAHAHA) did excellent, even when she couldn't control her tongue! I was super-impressed with her, let's all give her a round of applause now. I think she even had fun :-P!

We even had a visit from my little peanut, Antonia, this was her second photo shoot and she seemed to have fun, even if it was with a Styrofoam cup.

Perfecto!
Oh my goodness ... the shoot was so much fun. It went so smoothly. If it didn't, would Bronwyn and I be smiling like this? I think not.
I was expecting everything to go wrong, but it turned out that everything went perfectly! I can now sit back and breathe. It feels grrrreat! I know I can't wait to see the finished product.
All the models were so great, the photographers were also fun. Take a look at Cassandra, one of the photographers, trying to get Shayla to shake it like a salt shaker yesterday! LOL!
BTW ... Yay for Bronwyn and I! See, it fit ... (See previous blog entry)
Later for now! I will leave you with a funny pic of yours truly, Lyssa, fixing Hannah's shirt. Notice the Michael Jordan tongue sticking out. I guess it comes out when I'm working really, really hard.
OMG! I must have been working REALLY hard. It came out for another picture. It's so photogenic!

I Almost Dropped
You know that saying, 'shop 'till you drop?' Yeah, that was so us for the last few days. Tomorrow is the shoot!
Did I tell you that this is my very first shoot ever, ever, ever? Well, it is. I admit that I was a little scared a few weeks ago because we hadn't nailed down what each 'look' was going to be. Sure, I thought about it every second of every day, but it was one thing to think, another to pull the 'looks' together. I mean, what if the stores didn't have EXACTLY what we wanted. Let's just say I was a little stressed!
I will save you a stress rant and focus on today, the day before the shoot. Take a look at every single item of clothing organized by model and look outside of my pod (aka cubicle). Crazy, huh?
Before I put the clothes in garment bags, I laid each piece of clothing on the ground to see how it was going to look. We sized the models before, but you never know how clothes fit once you get them on. I am crossing my fingers that this outfit will fit Shayla tomorrow.
Later for now! Wish me luck for tomorrow. Oh yeah ... Don't forget to come back and get your dosage of spring style!

The Big Day Is Near
We are only two days away from our Spring 2007 Photo Shoot. It's one of the largest projects that KOL Style does every year and it's pretty intensive. I've been doing them for years now and in some ways they're like second nature to me, though there's always some surprises that come out of them.
Lyssa, our other producer, has NEVER done one before and I can tell she's a little freaked. Not freaked in the I wanna curl up in the fetal position and cry way, but in the WOW, this is CRAZY and I have a lot to do way! But I know she has it in her to pull it off. She's been the mastermind behind just about every outfit, and she's bought some amazing things for us to shoot.
I know the shoot is going to be a huge success, I can just feel it... we just have to survive the next couple of days! Do you think we can do it? I do!
