Warming Trends: Hot Hairstyles for Summer
Click through to see what hair styles will keep you looking and, more importantly, feeling cool while everyone else is burning up.
Braided Up
Braids are the quintessential hot weather hairdo. This style is super-easy to recreate. Take hair and seperate it into two even parts. Start with one side and start braiding, secure it in place with a rubber band and then switch sides. Want a fancier braid? Go for a french braid! Hot Flash: Braid hair when it's wet, and let it dry that way. When you let it out of the braid, you'll get really cool waves!

Half Twist
Let hair hang straight and take pieces from the side. This is different from your usual half ponytail because you won't use the top parts of hair. Bring each side piece to the middle of the back of your head. Twist each one, just like two or three times, then secure them with a ponytail holder. Hot Flash: Take this 'do into night time with a couple of loose curls.
Easy Breezy
This one is easy to do and oh-so-cute. You need hair that falls past your shoulders for this one. Grab hair in a high ponytail and secure it on top of the head. Then take a second ponytail holder (or double up the first one) around hair in a messy bun. Pull some strands out, pull hair to different sides, and you should end up with a variation of this cute style. Hot Flash: Don't overstyle this one, it's all about the mess. So pull it up once and leave it be!
Accessorize With Flowers
You don't even need any specific style, just adding flowers to your hair makes it a great hairdo. This style is a simply doubled over ponytail. Take a low ponytail and push hair halfway through a ponytail holder so that it doubles over like this. Hot Flash: If you want a really cool look opt for fresh flowers and trim the stem down to about two inches or so. Get your hair the way you want it and use the remaining stem to stick the flowers into your hair.
Topsy Turvy
This style can be done with any hair length. Take the top layer of hair and give it one good twist to the left, or right, whichever you prefer. Let the twist go a bit so it's not tightly wound and secure it in place with a small clip or bobby pin. Pull the rest of your hair up and clip it back in a messy bun or updo. Hot Flash: Pair this look with a simple ponytail for a more refined look.
Updated Pigtails
OK, so you think pigtails are so second grade? Well not anymore! Take your pigtails into the future with a slight twist. Instead of parting hair down the center, shift it over a bit. Bring some hair across the corner of your forehead and spritz on a little bit of hairspray to help keep hair the way you want it. Lastly, use a ponytail holder to keep hair in place. Hot Flash: If you think pigtails are just too cute for you, rock them with some funky earrings and bright eyeshadow to age them up.
Hot Cross Buns
Buns are probably one of the oldest hairdos. They are often used by dancers because they ensure hair is off the neck. They also give the appearance of an elongated neck and sharper facial features. If hair is pulled too tightly though, you can get headaches so be gentle with this one. Take hair and secure it in a ponytail, then twist it around. As you twist, it should fall in a natural bun. Secure the style in place with bobby pins or a clip. Hot Flash: Add a flower to it and make this style go from stuffy to sassy!

Easy Breezy Part 2
This is a different variation of our easy-breezy. Start with a lower ponytail, slightly on the side of the head, and pull hair through the holder a second time. Let some strands fall outside the holder and make sure you leave it messy. Hot Flash: This style works best with long thick hair, thinner hair will have a less chunky effect.
