Chinchillas

Chinchillas are very active and playful and make good pets. They are more active at night and need a roomy cage to play in. Also chinchillas need a set schedule-- eating at the same time each day or they can get stressed out.

Hedgehogs

Hedgehogs make for pretty good pets. They don't mind being handled, but they are also fine being left alone. Hedgehogs are nocturnal (they are active at night) and they are easy to feed and require just a simple home like an aquarium.

Coati Mundi

The Coati Mundi is very similar to the raccoon. It is omnivorous (eats meat and vegetables). Because of their good behavior, Coatis have been made into pets, but they are not easy to care for because they are not easily trained.

Tarantulas

Tarantula spiders are quiet and need little space and they are fun to watch. However, they aren't the best choice as a pet because they are difficult to handle. It is possible for tarantulas to bite and they do have venom, but they prefer to stay away from humans.
