Cretoxyrhina

Cretoxyrhina is considered the 'Jaws' of the Cretaceous period. This shark lived about 100 million years ago. This shark's teeth were five centimeters long, curved, and smooth-edged, with a thick enamel coating. They were the top predator of the Cretaceous seas. Cretoxyrhina became extinct 90 million years ago in the shallow sea that was the Midwest part of the United States.
