Colo (born December 22, 1956), the first ever gorilla born in captivity, currently lives in the Columbus Zoo in Powell, Ohio, and at the age of 51 years is the oldest living gorilla in captivity. She attained the title following the death on September 4, 2008 of Jenny, a western lowland gorilla who lived at Dallas Zoo in Texas, and whose age of 55 had been confirmed by the International Species Information System.
