The Spotted Salamander feeds mostly on earthworms and slugs, but they will eat almost any insect they can get. They like to live under the leaves and soil to keep cool and moist and under logs. They lay their eggs near ponds and pools of water in the forest.

They live among rainforests and dwell in trees. The Madagascar Day Gecko feeds on insects and nectar. They often make good pets but keep the males apart.

This is an Upland Chorus frog, known to scientists as Pseudacris feriarium. This is the kind of frog Emily M. Lemmon thought she was collecting in Louisiana in 2001. It turned out that the chorus frogs in Louisiana, Arkansas, east Texas and Oklahoma and west Mississippi were different from this or any of the other 14 chorus frog species known at the time.

Carpenter frogs have 4 stripes that run the length of their bodies which helps hide them from predators. They are found in marshes and bogs where moss grows. The breeding call of this frog sounds like a carpenter hitting a nail with a steel hammer and is usually heard from March to August.
