While this photo may look like it was taken on Mars, it was shot in Hualapai Valley in Nevada. In the early 1900s, the owners of the land were searching for water, and the drilling hit a geothermal pocket, creating the geyser. It's not only the vibrant colors that make this site so special, it's the fact the geyser is continually growing in height.
