Pig Olympics
These pigs are serious athletes. Look at pictures of the active oinkers.
Sporty Swine
The Pig Olympics is an annual event where twelve lucky pigs test their athleticism. The last event was held in Russia, where hometown piglet, Kostik Russisch Schwein, was expected to win.
More Talented Animals
Chop, Chop
This piglet races to the finish. All contestants wear numbered bibs during the olympics, just like human olympians.
Snout to Snout
Pig swimming was a new event at the last olympic games. Here, four pigs are attempting to paddle to the other end of a small pool. The pigs seemed to be more interested in bumping into each other than racing.
Fast Swimmer
This pig is determined to be the first to finish. His manic swimming style, which causes water to violently splash behind him, slows down the competition.
Pig Deal
Piglets compete in pig racing, pig swimming and 'pigball,' where contestants chase a sweet-tasting soccer ball around an enclosed arena with their snouts, scoring when the ball goes into a goal.
Good Sportsmanship
The piglets huddle together before the start of 'pigball.' No audio was taken, but we suspect there was some major trash talking going on.
Show Off
This talented piglet shows off his sweet, balancing skills to the crowd.
Water Racing
Another round of water racing begins. Contestant number five looks ready and determined to win.
Down to Two
Contestant numbers three and four started off strong ...
Backing Down
But they had a little difficulty remaining inside the roped area. Number four wanted to win so badly, he jumped on number three's back to slow him down. Now that's dirty!
Snouts Up
As a sign of defeat, this contestant respectfully raises his snout at the end of the race.
