January 31, 2008 - Sunny Miami
Last night was all about Miami. Overall the guys didn't perform well and the gals outshined them. A few of our favorite girls... Syesha who sang 'Freedom' which was very strong, and of course Corliss and Brittany who both had good voices and would have loved to go on a double date with Randy and Simon. We were a little confused about Julie, former 'American Juniors' contestant. She actually had a really good voice. She did have some attitude, but they have taken people with much weaker voices, so we aren't sure what's up with that. Simon unveiled a new catch phrase - "You're very confident." (and not in a good way) That, along with "You're not as good as you think you are" and Simon has his disses for the season. Last but not least was Brandon, who summed up the guys in Miami. He was just a little weird. He was part comedian, part actor, part singer. It was funny when Randy and Simon just walked out on him. What was your take on Miami? January 30, 2008 - Oh Omaha!
Last night was 'Idol's' first trip to Omaha and it seemed like it paid off. While there definitely was some strange ones like Josh the singing red carpet reporter or Sarah the former professional wrestler, there also was some good talent. Rachel the arm wrestling country singer had a good voice as did Angelica who made her dad proud. What was up with Ryan going off on the judges and then switching places with Paula? By the way, we think Paula stunk at Ryan's job. Poor Johnny- Simon just hated everything about his performance, but Leo finished the night off strong. Our favorite part of the night was the montage of everyone who forgot their lyrics. Maybe they need to allow cue cards! How did you like the Omaha auditions? Post your thoughts on the message boards.
January 24, 2008 - Welcome to Charleston
So Charleston didn't seem to treat the judges so well. I think the three of them held their heads more than anything else. What's with 'Idol' and babies? Out of the four cities they have shown, half had women who went into labor and had a baby while waiting for or with someone to audition. Last night it was Emma Grace. She was cute but sorry, dad didn't make it. Joshua, the wannabe world idol, he was mad, mad, mad. His performance of that 'Dreamgirls' song was horrible. And then there was Aretha. She wasn't too bad but I guess the judges thought the outfit was too much to put thru. We did like the brother and sister team who sang 'I Am Your Angel.' The sister does need a little work but overall they were good. We can't believe Randy tried to break them up. What's up with that dawg? And of course Simon broke out the "You're not as good as you think you are" comment several times. How did you like the Charleston auditions? As bad as they made it seem? Last night the show was in San Diego for auditions. Overall we thought there was some really good talent there. We really liked the single dad and the girl who, along with her sister, was obsessed with Simon. On the not so good side of things was the girl who thought she was the next Mariah Carey and the guy who was 'Idol's' biggest "fan." And we were happy that the girl who had made it previously but didn't get to go to Hollywood because of her Visa, made it back again. Boy, did her husband have a lot of tattoos. January 17, 2008 - Texas Craziness
So the fun continued last night as contestants sang their hearts out in the Dallas auditions. Did you hear about the one contestant who sang while having contractions? She went onto the hospital to have a little boy. Or what about the guy who got escorted out by security. What madness! We guess the highlight of the night had to be Renaldo who in full costume sang 'We're Brothers Forever' and got Ryan, Randy and Paula off their feet and into the act. Way to go Renaldo! January 16, 2008 - First Up, Philly
So last night was the big premiere. We thought it was pretty good or should we say funny and touching at the same time. Was it us or was Simon literally wearing an undershirt? He is usually pretty casual but come on, get a real shirt. OK, back to the auditions. Our favorite of the night was Joey, the guy who lost all that weight and had a great voice. One of the weirdest ones had to be James with the really deep voice. Randy could barely hold it together and had to hide in his papers. Temptress the football player did not have a good voice but we did feel bad when she started crying. We were glad Paula and the gang went outside to tell her family. And last, but not least, the Star Wars girl. We actually thought she wasn't THAT bad. Give it up for the dorks! What did you think of the Philly crew? Post your thoughts on the message boards.
January 15, 2008 - Tonight's the Night
It's the night that we have all been waiting for since, well, basically since Jordin took the title last year. Simon, Randy, Paula and Ryan hit the road and visit different cities in the U.S. looking for the next 'American Idol.' Will they find some superstars or will the bad and ugly auditions take over and cause the nasty Simon to come out? We don't know, but we can't wait to watch and see!

It was funny when they showed him running away like he was a free bird flying. And i was also glad that the irish woman got to go. Lets cross our fingers that her Visa doesn't mess her up again.
