Eat for Life
During this expedition we will explore what kinds of foods the Costa Ricans eat. We already know that certain foods can actually make you healthier and live longer. If you eat more fruits and vegetables everyday you will get more vitamins and minerals. Get the 411 on what you should plan to eat everyday. Ideally, you should eat at least five fruits and vegetables per day. So set that as your goal. You can start small by adding just one more piece of fruit each day until you get to five or more and do the same with vegetables.
Another goal could be to drink a glass of water instead of a soda or sweet juice drink.
You also might think about eating fewer fast food meals or choose one of the lower fat foods that are often available at fast food restaurants. Some items on the menu might be better for you than others.
