We liked a couple of things about Miley Cyrus' pretty upswept hair. First of all the color, or should we say colors? This girl has some great highlights and lowlights going on! Then we liked the casual style of the upsweep that made it look youthful and pretty.

Jennifer Lopez had the right idea when she opted for an upswept hairstyle for the Oscars. But something went wrong in the styling department, because her hair looks like a bird's nest. It's sticking out all over and the attempt at looking casual just doesn't work.

Oh Zac Efron, we still <3 you! And We really did like your spiky, faux hawk style ... but we can"t help but notice in this picture that some of the pieces in the back are sticking out in multiple directions. There"s a fine line between deliberately messy and actually messy and you"ve almost crossed it!

We give Kristen Stewart credit for even being on the red carpet, as we know these kinds of events aren't generally her thing. That being said her hair could have been styled a little better. We'll grade her on effort!

Gabourey Sidibe's hair was Oscar perfection! The pretty, sweeping curls framed her face beautifully and added a romantic touch to her sophisticated dress.

First of all, we'll give it to Sandra Bullock, her hair looked sleek, shiny and beautiful. However, we didn't like the long straight style with this dress. We think she would have been better served with something pulled back or up!

Demi Moore had us at "hello" last night. From her gorgeous dress to her beautifully styled hair she was definitely the woman to keep an eye on! Her softly curled hair was the perfect compliment to her stunning dress.

Mariah Carey's smile says it all, we wanted to like her hair, we wanted to like her entire outfit, and she clearly wanted us to. But, sigh, it wasn't in the cards. Her big, ringlet curls just made her face look wider.
