Our jaws dropped when we saw Rihanna's orange carpet attire at the 2010 Kids' Choice Awards ... but this time it wasn't her crazy, two-tone hair or drapey dress that brought out such a reaction. It was her ankle socks ... paired with dress shoes! Let us get one thing straight, this is a HATE! There is nothing about this trend that we even remotely like, even the '80s nostalgia is lost on this one.
Dress shoes should be worn barefoot or with tights/pantyhose ... period ... the end! These sheer, shiny ankle socks only chop up Rihanna's legs, making them look less long and less lean. Who wants to look chopped up? Not us! Please, please, please stay away from this trend. Ankle socks should be saved for running shoes.
