SAFETY TIPS
1. Never tell someone your name, home address, telephone number, or school name when you're online.
2. Don't give out your password to anyone, even your best friend. And remember, always make your password hard to guess -- use a number in it!
3. Never say you'll meet someone in person without your parent's permission.
4. Never e-mail pictures of yourself to strangers.
5. Don't accept things from strangers online. (e-mail, files, Web site addresses)
6. If someone says something that makes you feel unsafe or uncomfortable, don't respond and tell a parent, teacher or librarian immediately.
7. You can also report it by pushing the Notify AOL button in the KOL Message Boards.
IM
If someone is bothering you on IM, click on the Report IM Spam button.
E-Mail
If someone you don't know is e-mailing you, don't open it. Click the Report Spam button at the bottom of the mail window.
