Country Music Awards 2008

Billy Ray Cyrus and Justin Gaston hit the red carpet together at this year's Country Music Awards. Both choose very different looks in terms of outfits, but each looked good and very age appropriate. We really liked Billy Ray's long gray jacket over all black. The boots and hat truly finished off the outfit and completed the country boy look.

Zooming in on Billy Ray, his hair was hard to really see because of the cowboy hat. It appeared to be its normal shoulder length, straight and nothing fancy. All attention was really on the hat which was perfect for the CMAs. The scruffy look with the face also added to the rough cowboy image.

Carrie Underwood was one of the hosts for the evening and she wore quite a number of dresses throughout the show. She arrived in this yellow dress which was a great color for her. The neckline and low back gave it a more formal look. The belt also added to the dress. Our only issue is that the dress looks a little see-through especially on the side and back. And how did she walk with that long train?

Zooming in on Carrie, her hair looked neat even though it was pulled back and was perfect for the dress she wore. The curls hung nicely down her back and shoulders and helped give the style a softer look. The color looks good and goes nicely with the dress.

'Dancing with the Stars' professional and new country singer Julianne Hough made a statement in this hot pink dress. We love the bold color choice along with the one shoulder strap/ruffle look. From the back you could see the bustle on the lower part. It's amazing she looked this good after just have surgery a few weeks ago.

Zooming in on Julianne, her hair was in a nice simple updo which went well with the dress and the ruffle on the shoulder. The lose waves and hair around her face was a nice touch.

One of the big couples of the night were Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. They looked great on the red carpet and their outfits complimented each other well. Nicole had a nice simple black dress. We loved the neckline with those stringy pieces. The bottom also had a nice design. She looked a skinny as ever even after having a baby. Keith was very classy in his gray suit complete with vest. Nicole definitely dresses him well!

Zooming in on Nicole, her hair was about as plain as you can get. From the part down the middle to the stick straight style. Parts of it even look a little stringy. Also is it just us or does her hair look two different colors? We were going to grade her harder, but seeing that she is a new mom, we will cut her a break.

Zooming in on Justin, his hair was about as simple as you can get. But the nice thing was it looked neat- like he took the time to actually style it. The side bangs help to lessen the look of his forehead and the longer length gives it a bit more rugged look... perfect for modeling!
