Hair Honor Roll: Nick Kids Choice Awards 2009

Corbin Bleu
Grade: A
We really like Corbin's hair. It is very tame and is shorter than he had in the 'High School Musical' movies. It also looks like a tighter curl. Maybe he has some gel working for him. The goatee also looks very good on him. Overall, two thumbs up!

America Ferrera
Grade: C+
We were torn as to whether to give America a B- or a C+. We felt like her hair looked OK but nothing special. We know the Kids' Choice Awards are laid back but it would have been nice if it looked a little more styled.

Nick Cannon
Grade: B
We didn't even recognize Nick with the mustache and goatee. It works nicely for him and makes him look older. The hat is also pretty cool. It was nice to see Nick back at his old stomping grounds.

Ashley Tisdale
Grade: B
Ashley went dark soon after the last 'High School Musical' movie. We like the color and it works for her skin color. It seems like she has two tones going which diminishes the impact for us. The hair is in layers but gives a little bit of a messy look.

Soulja Boy
Grade: B-
There really isn't much to say about Soulja Boy. His hair is pretty simple, looks neat, and gives him an Usher kind of look. The sunglasses are a bit big but we guess that fits with his look.

Demi Lovato
Grade: A-
Another person we hardly recognized was Demi. She not only went very dark, but went with a longer look (extensions?) and a little bit of curl to it. We have to applaud the changes. She looks great and her makeup is awesome. She reminds us of a younger Demi Moore.

Emma Roberts
Grade: B+
We thought Emma looked really good. Just like Ashley, we like Emma better as a brunette rather than a blonde or light brown. There seems to be some red highlights which works well with her eyes. He hair is nicely styled with loose curls and gives her a little bit more formal look.

Taylor Lautner
Grade: A-
Taylor's hair was pretty nice-looking. The color is great and it is nicely styled. Our only issue is that the top spiked part seems to come to a pile at the top which seems a little mop-like. Also, the square hairline makes it a little odd, almost fake.

Jennette McCurdy
Grade: A
We really liked Jennette's look at the awards. He hair looked nice and neat and styled. The soft curls at the bottom looked good and gave it a more formal look. Not sure we love the flower but that is easily removed. Her makeup is also very well done and nice accent on her eyes.

Zac Efron
Grade: B-
Zac's hair is feeling a little greasy and long for our taste. We wonder if he is growing it out for a movie role? The color isn't bad but it just looks a bit messy overall.
