Stages of Stardom: Lindsay Lohan
1998: The Style Trap
Lindsay Lohan's big break came with the leading role in the 1998 remake of the classic Disney movie, 'The Parent Trap' at age 12. Her youth definitely showed in this white and purple sheath. She looked adorable and appropriately dressed for her age on this red carpet.

2002: Making Her Mark
As Lindsay hit her mid-teens she opted for casual attire, and we can't blame her. For the 2002 MTV Movie Awards she rocked a white, fitted tee with jeans, a long scarf and a black handbag and boots. Her casual outfit showed off her carefree attitude, she knew she had plenty of time to play "dress up" as she got older.

2003: Testing the Waters
Following the premiere of 'Freaky Friday,' Lindsay's celebrity status was sky-rocketing. She used this opportunity to change her style a bit. At the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards she had much lighter hair and some seriously textured curls. Her cropped vest over a white dress shirt showed off her great, curvy figure and the jeans kept her looking young and playful!

2004: A Drama Queen Is Born
For the premiere of, 'Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen,' Lindsay took things up one notch. Her black dress was extremely flattering and the plunging neckline was perfectly paired with the drop necklace. Her shoes were a bit too busy with all those straps but overall she looked GREAT!

2004: A Fashionista at Fashion Week
Shortly after she filmed 'Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen' we saw a HUGE transformation in Ms. Lohan's style. She went from awkward teenager to glam gal! We embraced the change and loved seeing what trends she rocked next, like the fitted, white jacket with cropped jeans and silver, pointy-toed shoes.

2004: Growing Up
Lindsay went from 'Tween Queen to household name in matter of months and her style reflected the change. This bright, teal dress was stunning on her. The wrap styling across her middle and a-line skirt showed off her figure perfectly.

2004: Hostess With the Mostess
2004 was a HUGE year for Lindsay Lohan and it was culminated by her hosting the MTV Movie Awards. This was the dress she arrived to the show in and we really liked it. The sequin top was pretty and the drop waist skirt was simple and looked good on her. We LOVED her dainty, feminine shoes!

2005: Nicole's Influence
And we don't mean Richie! It was right around this time that we saw Lindsay Lohan start to draw from Nicole Kidman's red carpet style for her own inspiration. This layered long dress was very flattering on her and we LOVED the babydoll-ish top! What we weren't fans of was Lindsay Lohan's switch to blond hair! Her skin tone was not flattered by those platinum locks at all.

2005: Just Peachy
We didn't like this dress.... the color was pretty but the tight fit and flared train were just too much. It was also around this time that Lindsay started to look too skinny! We liked her better with more meat on her bones, but she truly preferred being lean.

2005: Pregnant Pause
Lindsay was NOT pregnant, but she sure looked like she had a bump in that white dress. There are several things about this dress that make it too much, the stark white color, the drape in the back and all the fabric were just TOO MUCH! We were pleased to see the return of her darker hair though.

2007: Biker Babe
The problem with celebs at fashion week is they usually wear the designer's work to their parties/shows and sometimes the look is a bit extreme. This was the case for this Calvin Klein ensemble. We actually like the pretty, lacy jacket but the super-short mini and ankle boots gave us flashbacks of the 80s.

2007: Dressed to the Nines
You can't attend a Dolce & Gabbana event in anything but pure glamour. We were smitten with Lindsay's D&G dress with the wide belt detail at her middle. The black cami detail at the top and the black shoes pull the look together perfectly.
