Red Carpet Wrap Up: Academy Awards 2009
Jessica Biel
Light colors seemed to be one of the trends on the red carpet and Jessica Biel was no exception with her cream colored dress. We didn't love the big bow hanging down in two layers. We also felt like the dress didn't show off her figure but looked rather tube-like at the bottom.

Beyonce Knowles
Another dress we didn't quite get was Beyonce's floral number. The gold color of the flowers did match the Oscar, but, she also matches the flowering bush behind her. The shape of the dress was one we saw on many of the stars which seems really hard to walk in.

Vanessa Hudgens
Also in a strapless dress with the big puffy part at the bottom was 'HSM' star Vanessa Hudgens. We do like this dress better than Beyonce's but again, what's up with the flowers? This dress would have been just as pretty without the bouquet of them sticking out the top. Lose that and we would be all for the dress.

Mickey Rourke
Mickey went with the non-traditional white suit with black vest and chains. It definitely stood out compared to the other men who were in the more typical black tux. He also had on some funky black boots. The sweetest part of his outfit was the jewelry featuring pics of his dog who passed away a week before the Oscars.

Miley Cyrus
We really like the shape of Miley's dress and the neckline is very flattering. The belt is also very cool and shows off her waistline. But again, what's up with the petals? Was there some memo about flowers that we missed? It makes the skirt part of her dress look like a big tent.

Anne Hathaway
Anne Hathaway combined both trends - light color and strapless that goes tight and then puffy at the bottom. The beading on the dress was very well done and added to the look of the dress.

Natalie Portman
Natalie looked beautiful in a pink, strapless dress that flowed nicely. The bodice had an interesting design and the dress overall showed off her petite frame.

Robert Downey Jr.
Robert looked classic in his black tux with thick black tie. It was the perfect look for the awards show.

Queen Latifah
Queen Latifah was looking great in a one-shoulder dress. The color was very nice and different compared to all the lighter tones. Our favorite part was the beading along the neckline and waist. We could hve done without the sheer train along the back but it went along with the looks of some of the other dresses.

Amy Adams
Amy had a very interesting dress. It was strapless with a train in the back that seemed to be a trend of the evening. The color is bold and the design on the bodice was great. The strangest part was the piece that hung down from the middle of the neckline and then flowed into the skirt. If we could cut that off the dress would be perfect. Oh, and LOVE the necklace.
