Hair Honor Roll: Academy Awards 2009
Alicia Keys
Grade: A+
Alicia Keys looked amazing on the red carpet. We almost didn't recognize her. The long hair was beautiful, shiny and nicely styled. It compliments her face. The eye shadow was a little bright but overall we liked her makeup.

Hugh Jackman
Grade: A+
Hugh Jackman was looking very handsome as the host of the Oscars. He was clean shaven and his hair is nicely done. Looks like he may have used some gel to keep things in place. His sideburns are a little long but it makes sense with his Wolverine role.

Evan Rachel Wood
Grade: B-
Overall we think Evan Rachel looks like a ghost. She is very pale and her makeup didn't do much to bring color to her face. It looks as pale as the rest of her body. The stark eyes and long eyebrows also make it look sort of doll-like. Her hair is neatly done but the high bangs and up-do don't help, but rather add to, the hard look.

Amanda Seyfried
Grade: A-
Amanda was looking good on the red carpet. Her hair was very natural but yet the soft curl gave it a more formal look. Her make isn't too heavy and the lipstick ties in nicely with the dress.

Robert Pattinson
Grade: B-
Robert sort of looks like he got up, threw some mousse in his hair and went to the Oscars. His facial hair is stubble so why even keep it. It's not even in places so it just looks odd. Again, his hair is staying in position due to product but doesn't look neat or styled.

Jennifer Aniston
Grade: B+
Jennifer was very natural at the Oscars. Her makeup is so subtle that you almost don't realize she has any on. Her hair is a great color and the style is very relaxed. The bangs being up a little give it a more formal look. It could even be a little braid- hard to tell. Whatever it is, it works.

Kate Winslet
Grade: B
Our issue with Kate's hair is that it looks so boxy. One of the fashion critics called it retro and I would second that. It's neat and nicely tucked under in the back, but doesn't really soften her face or add anything to her look.

Will Smith
Grade: A
This is the most hair we have seen on Will Smith in a long time but we like it. Both his hair and goatee are neatly trimmed and styled. He looked very classic and perfect for the Oscars.

Meryl Streep
Grade: B-
Just like Kate, Meryl Streep had the older, tucked in up-do going on. It didn't seem to do much for her face and revealed a two-colored head of hair. Her makeup could have been a little bit darker to bring out her eyes.

Zac Efron
Grade: B +
Zac was a cutie as usual on the red carpet and during his musical performance with girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens. His hair was slicked back which doesn't look bad. The thing that got us was how long it was. Not sure we have seen him in a style this long in sometime. Maybe he is growing it our for 'Footloose.'
