Alexander Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals is already a superstar in the NHL. His 65 goals is the most for an NHL player in 12 years. He is probably the lead candidate for MVP this year. His efforts led the Capitals all season long in their comeback, winning the Southeast Division title in the last game of the year, and gaining the 3rd seed in the Eastern Conference.
