Nov 08, 2009 - Percival visited his Tampa Bay teammates before Tuesday night's game with the Los Angeles Angels and the closer sounded every bit like someone who has thrown his last pitch in a major league game. "I don't think you're retired until the paperwork's in. But it's safe to say as of right now, I don't see that I'm going to be able to throw a whole lot," said Percival, who hasn't thrown in more than three weeks because of tendinitis in his right shoulder.
Mar 12, 2009 - Percival pitched a hitless inning in his first action of spring training, and the Tampa Rays beat the Philadelphia Phillies 3-2 Thursday.
Oct 02, 2008 - Percival was left off the Rays' roster for their AL division series against the Chicago White Sox due to back tightness.
Sep 19, 2008 - Percival returned to the mound on Thursday, but not as the closer. He pitched the eighth inning of Tampa Bay's 11-8 loss to Minnesota, tossing a shutout frame to preserve the Rays' lead at the time. Tampa Bay's bullpen allowed five runs in the ninth inning to blow the save.
