Jul 05, 2008 - Gorzelanny, a 14-game winner last season who has struggled mightily this season, was optioned by the Pirates to Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
May 29, 2008 - Gorzelanny retired only two of the eight batters he faced in Wednesay's 9-1 loss to the Reds, the shortest of his 54 starts in the majors. He was tagged for six runs, four hits and a pair of walks, and threw a wild pitch that set up a run.
