Aug 26, 2009 - Perez has patellar tendinitis in his right knee and will undergo season-ending surgery, the Mets announced Wednesday afternoon.
Aug 24, 2009 - Perez failed to get out of the first inning in Sunday's 9-7 loss against visiting Philadelphia and was pulled after throwing three straight balls to former Mets pitcher Pedro Martinez. He gave up three-run homers to Jayson Werth and Carlos Ruiz, and alllowed four hits and two walks. Perez was soundly booed as he walked off the field having thrown 47 pitches - 20 strikes - and getting just two outs.
Aug 19, 2009 - Perez won Tuesday by allowing four runs and five hits over five innings in a 9-4 win over the Braves.
Aug 13, 2009 - Perez struck out seven and walked six in 5 1-3 innings of Wednesday's 6-4 win over Arizona.
