Apr 06, 2009 - The Braves announced Sunday they will retire Maddux's number on July 17 and induct the four-time National League Cy Young Award winner into the team's Hall of Fame.
Feb 16, 2009 - Maddux, who retired in December after winning 355 games and 18 Gold Gloves during a 23-year career, has agreed to become a spring training instructor for the San Diego Padres. He's scheduled to arrive in camp on Wednesday.
