Oct 22, 2009 - Sizemore has begun light workouts and expects to be fully ready for spring training. Sizemore had arthroscopic surgery on his left elbow in early September and a week later had surgery to repair a sports hernia. He injured his abdomen during a drill in spring training, then went on the disabled list May 31 due to inflammation in his elbow. After returning June 23, he played better but still had discomfort and was shut down for good on Sept. 4.

Sep 09, 2009 - Sizemore is scheduled to undergo lower abdominal surgery next Wednesday in Philadelphia. He hurt his groin early in spring training during an outfield drill.
