Jul 26, 2008 - The Pittsburgh Pirates completed their trade of Damaso Marte and Xavier Nady to the New York Yankees on Saturday. Both were on their way to Boston and the Yankees hoped they would arrive in time to be available for an afternoone game against the Red Sox.
Jul 25, 2008 - The Pirates agreed to deal Marte and outfielder Xavier Nady to the Yankees on Friday night in exchange for four minor league prospects. The trade is still pending all six players passing physicals.
