Sep 06, 2008 - After 100 relief appearances, Morrow came within four outs of joining Bobo Holloman as the only pitchers since 1900 to throw no-hitters in their first major league starts. Morrow had a no-hitter going until pinch-hitter Wilson Betemit doubled with two outs in the eighth inning, and the Seattle Mariners beat fading New York 3-1 Friday night.
Sep 02, 2008 - The Mariners expanded their roster with right-hander Morrow scheduled to start Friday night against the New York Yankees in place of injured lefty Jarrod Washburn.
