Melinda Doolittle
Back Up No More
Melinda Doolittle was born on October 6, 1977. She has been singing since she was in the seventh grade, but her career didn't get started until 1999. Melinda has been a backup singer for performers like Aaron Neville, BeBe and CeCe Winans, and Alabama. She auditioned for 'American Idol' in 2007 in Memphis and went on to take third place behind Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis. After 'Idol' Melinda went on to do TV appearances and in February 2009, she released her first CD, 'Coming Back to You.' Currently she is promoting her new album and touring around the U.S.
