Whoa, Nelly!
Cornell Haynes, Jr. (better known as 'Nelly') was born in St. Louis. When his mom moved him to suburban Universal City as a teen, he and a group a friends formed the St. Lunatics. Nelly decided to go solo and was picked up by Universal Records. His first album, Country Grammar (2000), debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 album chart and then became number one. The following summer Nelly returned with his second album, Nellyville (2002) which topped the Billboard album chart. Nelly has produced songs with some great artists like Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and Tim McGraw.
