Jason Mraz comes from Mechanicsville, VA, where he actually was a fan of musical theater. He moved to New York after high school to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy but dropped out a year later when he decided to be a songwriter. He later went to San Diego to become a coffeehouse music star. Record labels were quick to notice and he was signed to do his first album in 2002. Now Jason is one of the smoothest sounding guitarists out now.
