AOL Kids Premiere: Tim and the Space Cadets "2nd Grade Show"

AOL Kids has an exclusive premiere of the newest video from the Brooklyn based band, Tim and the Space Cadets. Check out the amazing new video "2nd Grade Show"

Tim and the Space Cadets play songs about the important things in life: pizza parties, snow days, and summer vacations. Songwriters Tim Kubart and Matt Puckett weave their own childhood memories through textured pop tunes, rockers, and lullabies, taking on familiar and iconic childhood experiences with indie flair. Check out their site at: www.timandthespacecadets.com

Tim is very involved in the kids world in that he got his start in kid's music while volunteering in a nursery of a homeless shelter in New York City. Currently, he is the curator of his own kids music program called "Little Rock-Its" that is based out of the Williamsburg, Brooklyn play space, Frolic!

"Second Grade Show" is the second single off of Anthems for Adventure, a thirteen-song collection for the young and young at heart that aims to inspire everyone to turn off their TV's and computers, and get outside and play, and celebrates adventures as grand as riding a cardboard rocketship to space and as small as taking on a small but pivotal role in the school play. The song is based on band tap dancer/percussionist/guitar player/Tim's BFF "Jumpsuit" Alex MacDonald's first acting role in a student-written production, about a game of chess. The play in the music video isn't about chess, though -- watch closely, and you may recognize the play the kids are putting on.
