The sand flea is a robot under development by the US army and it can jump over 30 feet! Its based on the biology of the sand flea, those ugly bugs you see on the beach. It weighs only 11 lbs.

The big dog is another wacky looking robot for the Army that uses its 4 legs to help carry gear. Its called big dog because its designed like our favorite furry friends!
Cheetah
The Cheetah is the fastest robot ever created and it can run 28.3 miles per hour (about half that of an actual cheetah). It was .5mph faster than Usain Bolt's record run at the olympics this year!
Rhex Rough
The Rhex is a 30lb robot that uses 6 legs to manuver on any sort of terrain imaginable, up rocks and hills or over fast land. Its pretty cool.
