Mysteries of the Ocean
There are some crazy stories about the mysteries of the ocean. Learn about a few of them here.

The Bermuda Triangle is known as the stretch of ocean between Bermuda, Miami and San Juan. For many years, it has been associated with vanishing ships and airplanes. Many people believe that paranormal activity or magnetic forces are to blame. In 1918, the U.S.S. Cyclops was carrying 306 people when it vanished between Barbados and Baltimore. It left no remains. In 1945, five Navy bomber planes disappeared off the coast of Florida. And in 1948, a DC-3 plane with 32 people disappeared during a flight from San Juan to Miami. Visibility was perfect. The pilot radioed in just 50 miles away from landing to say everything was going well. The plane never landed, and hasn't been found since.

Mysteries of the Ocean
The Lost City of Atlantis mysteriously sank to the bottom of the ocean, or so people have said for thousands of years. Some people think that's a myth, but others have dedicated their lives to finding the lost city, which they believe was devastated by a natural disaster. In the last 15 years, several research teams have claimed that they located Atlantis. But no one is certain.

Mysteries of the Ocean

The Sonar Flying Saucer was discovered in July of 2011 by Swedish researcher Peter Lindberg. He was searching for a shipwreck when he discovered a perfectly round circle about 60 feet in diameter 300 feet below the surface of the ocean. Some people thought the object was a UFO, but the photos of it weren't good enough to be sure. Until more funding is available for further explorations, there won't be any answers to the many questions people have about this object.
