When a 7 year old girl fell into a coma, how did Adele save her life? Find out here.
Charlotte Neve is an ordinary seven year old girl, but one night she got a brain hemorrhage which almost killed her. After two operations to stop the bleeding on her brain, she was left in a coma. Doctors told her mother Leila to prepare for the worst.
But when Leila got into the hospital bed with her daughter to say her goodbyes, Adele's hit song "Rolling in the Deep" came on the radio. The mother and daughter had sung the song together many times.
Ms. Neve started to sing it to her daughter... and Charlotte began to smile. Doctors were astounded.
Within 2 days, Charlotte had started speaking, could focus on colors, and even got up from her bed. Two months later, she's learning how to walk and talk and has regained partial sight. She has now gone back to school, and even back to dance class.
Her mother said, "It's a complete miracle. Doctors told me to say goodbye and I thought I was going to lose my little girl. I started singing it to her because she loves her and we used to sing that song together. Charlotte started smiling and I couldn't believe it. It was the first time she had reacted to anything since the hemorrhage. The nurses were astounded and told me to keep singing, and she smiled again."
In the hospital, they had to cut off all of Charlotte's hair to hook up her head to various wires. Her older sister Megan then cut her hair off too, to show her support.
Charlotte's mother says, "From the scans, she shouldn't even be able to walk again-- never mind talk, ride her bike and run around like she has been doing."
