We recently caught up with Annabeth Barnes who stars in the PBS documentary 'Racing Dreams' and she told us twelve things about herself that you might not have known.

I'm graduating from high school early! I have worked very hard to get to do so, education is so important!
I started racing when I was only 7 years old, so now being 16, I have been racing for over half my life!
My parents are my heroes and my biggest fans. My racing wouldn't be possible if they weren't supporting me 110%.
I actually have an older sister who raced before I did. Most people don't know that.
My favorite singer would have to be Corey Smith. He sings really rad, folky music. His songs are so fun and make me just wanna sing along.
My favorite colors are blue and orange.
My bedroom is my safe haven. If I am home, you'll most likely find me in my room. I'm completely obsessed with it and I love it so much.
Recently I have gotten really into makeup! I know that sounds so girly, but that's just me. I never really wore much makeup but then I started watching some really inspirational girls who had beauty channels on YouTube and I totally got into it!
I really enjoy working out and tanning, they always help me to relax.
I'm actually taking nursing classes right now, and I hope to have my CNA by the time I graduate. I always tell my friends who ask me what I want to be when I get older that I'm going to be a race-car driving nurse, haha.
I love volunteering at a local assisted living facility. I try to help out over there a few times a week. It feels so good to give back to my community and to be able to put smiles on the faces of the residents.
12 is my favorite number! And it's my racing number. I use to always be #4 until my Dad's best friend (who owned a race-car which was the #12) passed away. We started being #12 in his memory.
