The Biebs is celebrating his birthday today and he knows what he wants (Hint: it involves a different kind of giving).
Justin Drew Bieber was born March 1, 1994 in London, Ontario. And at just 17 years of age he's tackled the music industry in a way no one thought he would. But he still wants to do more and this time he wants your help.
If you're wondering what to get the popstar who seems to have everything, he's actually made this easy for you. He wants you to give, not to him, but to charity. A charity named charity: water specifically. On the idea of having fans donate in honor of his birthday, he wrote on the charity's website, "I have had an incredible year and it is all due to the fans helping me live my dream. I'm turning 17 years old on Tuesday, and have so much to be grateful for! So this year, I really want my birthday to be all about helping others. Instead of asking for gifts, I'm asking friends, family and fans to consider donating $17 for my 17th birthday to help make a change. 100% of all donations go directly to building clean water projects in developing countries with charity: water, and we'll be able to see photos and GPS of the projects we helped build!"
We're guessing he's been having a GREAT birthday week, as his plans included attending an 83rd Academy Awards after party with rumored girlfriend, Selena Gomez.
He also got a haircut, and donated locks to help raise money for various charities. One person he donated locks to was talk show host Ellen Degeneres.
Good thing he did this after filming 'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never' as we don't think our favorite scene would have been as good with this shorter 'do.
