Hollywood Week continued on 'American Idol' this week. See our favorite moments from the show.
Hollywood Week is where the real competition begins on 'American Idol,' and this year there's a lot of talent trying to stick around. The second part of Hollywood Week had the contestants performing in groups. The contestants were all supposed to form little groups and put together a performance that utilized all group members. Many groups opted for choreography to show off their talents. At the end of the performance the judges weigh in on who will stay in Hollywood and who will go home. And they don't always pass through all the members of the group, sometimes they picked only one to continue.
Our resident 'Idol' addicts, Kate and Bronwyn, are ready to share their favorite (good or bad) moments from Hollywood Week beginning with last night's individual auditions.
Favorite Hollywood Week Sudden Death Round One Moment
Bronwyn: Jacee Badeaux's story was my favorite moment this week. Not because I think he truly is the next 'American Idol' BUT, his group was mean to him and booted him. This left him wandering around to find a new group and when he managed to find one he had a hard time keeping up with the new lyrics to their routine. That being said, the judges did the "fair" thing and let him stay to give him a chance to really try to shine without the negativity of the situation weighing on him. It's not often that they do things like this, and I think this time they opted on the side of good kharma!
Kate: There's a ton of pressue being on 'Idol' and I always feel bad for contestants when they forget the lyrics to a difficult song. However, Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You Dance" is probably one of the easiest songs to remember and people STILL managed to mess it up last night (you can see a clip below). Scotty McCreery was one of the contestants to mess up but he owned up to it and said he would totally understand if the judges didn't put him through which I can respect.
