The 2011 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show awarded a Scottish deerhound named Hickory the Best in Show award last night.
Hickory's full name is Gch. Foxcliffe Hickory Wind. She's 5-years-old and lives on a farm in Warrenton, VA. Hickory has been the number one Scottish deerhound for the past three years but this was her first Best in Show appearance at Westminster. Hickory's owner was super excited that she won (check out the clip below). It's also the first year a Scottish deerhound has ever won the Best in Show award.
There were many other winners at the Westminster Dog Show as well.
A Pekingese named Malachy won the Toy group.
Chinese shar-pei, Jayne, won the Non-sporting group.
Bearded collie Mr. Baggins won the Herding group title.
