Heart or Hate: UGG Bailey Button Boots

Ugg Bailey Button Boot
Hilary Duff, Emma Roberts and Hayden Panettiere are rocking the UGG Bailey Button Boots, but is this a trend you should rock, too?

OK, OK, OK, let's talk ugg boots. In the early 2000s celebrities catapulted the popularity of ugg boots (sheepskin boots) and it seemed everyone was wearing them. Hilary Duff UGG Bailey BootsBut I firmly believe that just because a celebrity (or a bunch of them) wears something, that it shouldn't necessarily become a hot trend. This is true of ugg boots, and I have a love/hate relationship with them.

The key to ugg boots is their functionality, they are certainly not the most stylish of boots, BUT they offer feet a warm and cozy spot on cold winter days. Being someone who lives in the Northeast and endures very cold weather for 3-5 months out of the year, they are a necessity. They are not only warm and cozy but waterproof (to a certain point) and therefore a great snowy weather shoe.

All that being said, I've often felt the name "ugg" was given to the boots because they are ugg-ly! They are probably one of the most unattractive shoes you can put on your feet, especially if you have bigger feet. I was smitten with the cute, new UGG Bailey Button Boots as they have a cute button styling on the side and little tufts of sheepskin that stick out along the top and side. But if I heart ugg boots for their snow and cold weather abilities, then that button and opening on the side are besides the point.

I have finally found a trend that I can't say I truly HEART or HATE ... so I'll leave it to you all, do you heart or hate this trend?
